Teaser Tuesday - The Snow Child

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share 2 “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Well, here is my teaser for this week....taken from The Snow Child By Eowyn Ivey.

"He walked to the woodpile, then turned back to the cabin and saw the snow child, or what was left of it. Still just a shapeless pile of snow. No scarf. No mittens. Just as it had been last night, but now exposed as truth in the light of day." (p. 52)

  3. Hi Pamela,

    I loved the teaser lines enough to check out the full synopsis for this book.

    It has me hooked without even opening it and has gone onto my reading list, right near the top.

    It sounds like such a poignant, emotional and truly soul-searching story and I can't wait to read your review.

    Thanks for visiting Fiction Books and have a good week,

    Yvonne.

  5. This was definitely a good teaser because it hooked me. I'm wondering ... is this a snowman made in the shape of a child? is this a child that appears during snowstorms? Gotta know more!
